feldmutze Posted February 5, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2015 Hi, Our 1st cruise is on March 29 on the Silhouette, and of course we're getting excited! Can we bring a couple of bottles of wine or champagne onboard? Bottled water or cokes? I can't seem to find this on their site.
long time lurker Posted February 5, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2015 No problem bring water or soft drinks on board. Per the celebrity website each stateroom is allowed two bottles of wine when they board. From the Celebrity website packing guidelines - **Two bottles wine per stateroom are allowed on embarkation day, subject to corkage fees.

Just a note that if you enjoy the wine from your room (feel free to take a glass with you when you leave your room as long as you poured it there!) you won't be charged corkage fees. You WILL be charged a fee if you take your bottle of wine to the MDR or a specialty restaurant and have them pour there from your bottle.

One bottle = 2 full glasses of wine -- this way the wine really gets to breath. :;

The two bottles you can bring on board is for in-cabin consumption, not to take out of the cabin. Monica

ailetoile Posted February 6, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 6, 2015 It doesn't...you can take your bottle to the dining room but you will pay a corkage fee. Or you can pour a glass of wine in your room and walk it into the dining room... ;)
ailetoile Posted February 6, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 6, 2015 where does it say that wine brought onboard is for cabin consumption only...? I've never even heard that interpretation of the wine policy before. There has been plenty of talk on Cruise Critic over the years of bringing wine on board and pouring the glass in your room to take elsewhere.
