Help me understand the policy for cancelling please. If I book a 2016 trip and pay the deposit, if I want to change or cancel before paid in full date, do I lose anything? TIA!

You can cancel or change your reservation up until the cancellation date even if paid in full. I always check what the cancellation date for each reservation I make just to make sure it's on my calendar.

Cancellation Policy

 

Days Prior to Departure Date Cancellation Fee:

 

 

75 - 56 days = Deposit

 

55 - 30 days = 50%

 

29 - 15 days = 75%

 

14 days or less = 100%

If you book with a TA, make sure you also know their cancellation policy. Although, I've never seen one, I've heard of some charging a fee to cancel a reservation. That is in addition to what the cruise line charges.

Good advice. Also, just because someone's reservation has one cancellation policy doesn't mean other NCL ships/itineraries have the same. Suites have different periods than other cabins on the same trip, shorter cruises have different periods than longer cruises, etc.
