kivvo Posted February 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2015 Good morning cruisers, I'm sitting here at the Long Beach terminal for my first west coast and my first solo cruise! I have cruised 8 times previously, all out of Florida or NOLA. The embarkation process is quite different here...check in is outside? Can anyone tell me if embarkation is typically smooth at Long Beach? I will post more once I'm on board, sitting at Serenity with Carnival's signature drink, "The Fun Ship." Cheers! FlorenceItaly Posted February 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2015 Have a fabulous cruise. I look forward to following along. I notice in your signature that your last cruise was on the Fascination. We are sailing her the end of the month!! Bon Voyage!
kivvo Posted February 8, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted February 8, 2015 Florenceitaly, my first cruise was on the Fascination 11 years ago! That is certainly where my love for cruising (Carnival) started!

That is certainly where my love for cruising (Carnival) started! Oh my, lol. I read that wrong, lol, you most certainly did. Even though I am very happily married(32 years), I've done some solo cruising, and let me tell you, you are going to LOVE it!!
Hmc2013 Posted February 8, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 8, 2015 I always do early check in at the queen Mary desk
etwright Posted February 8, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2015 I remember causing out of Long Beach and stand outside in line for quite a while. After we finally made it inside, it wasn't too bad.
JillySue Posted February 8, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 8, 2015 I always do early check in at the queen Mary desk I don't think they do that anymore. Or at least not the last 2 times we've been there. :/
Hmc2013 Posted February 8, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 8, 2015 It's been a 1.5 years since my last cruise out of there. But it was incredibly nice taking advantage of that option when they offered it
