Norway cruise search

We are trying to find an ex UK for Norway, and were looking at Saga, and they are advertising one on Fred Olsen Boudicca for July called Glaciers, Fjords and Waterfalls. After Fire & Ice we really want to go to Norway again, and this cruise, being through Saga will pick up at the door and take us to Newcastle. 5 ports over the 7 night cruise (Bergen, Alesund, Hellesylt, Geiranger, Olden ) for £989 and we are tempted to go for it.

Another is Cruise and Maritime Azores from Hull again in July to Ulvik,Eidjfjord, Flaam, Sognefjord, Olden and Bergen. No price quoted on this one so I have sent for the discounted prices, but we would have to travel to Hull ourselves.

Back from one cruise so looking for another.

 

Cruise Specialists rang me and the current price for Azores is £629 per person for an inside cabin.

Gill - you do know the Azores was built in 1946 :eek: (older than me :D) and has a rather chequered history :eek:

The age of Azores gave Ray a laugh too. Just looked on the Cruise Critis search, and found Bon Voyage UK doing one on P and O Azura 7 N £528 inside cabin, £672 outside cabin with possible restricted views. Bergen, Geiranger- tender, Flam-tender, Stavanger. They give free on board spend and a coach to Southampton if we book before 28 Feb. Tenders could be a problem as Ray never used them on 2 stops on Mayan Treasures, and he would worry about formal wear. It would be a great way for P and O experience though. Very tempted. Never heard of Bon Voyage UK but it is the best of the options given for supplying information.

P&O are doing a few fiord cruises from Southampton in July. Ventura, Azura and Britannia. You might get obc as well if booked before 28th February. :). Edited. Just noticed you are aware of the P&O cruises.

The Boudicca is a lovely ship Gill; very similar to Thomson's ships - just a bit smaller than the Spirit & Celebration. Some lovely bars, good entertainment, nice cabins & lovely staff.

Some of them are VERY restricted in fact you might as well have an inside cabin :rolleyes:
