Definitions of breakaway mini-suites

Can anyone please explain to me the difference in categories of mini-suites – from M2- M-6, if they all seem to be guaranteed at this point? I do not feel the rep at NCL is clear, even after I explain other than the family suite, I do not know what the others stand for.

thank you :)

The cabins are the same, although I have heard that some of the ones categorized "family" may have bathtubs. The M6 is the one that is forward on deck 8 with the nice huge balcony; M6 does not have a tub. The balcony is divine though.

Other than that, the location is why the category (and usually price) is different.

Let me rephrase. Which would be a better category? A M2 or a M6 guaranteed? Thank you! Not sure which would be a better choice and NCL sucks at helping. They are really misinformed and misguided.

The cabins will be the same; M6 has much larger balcony and all of the M6s are forward on deck 8. Some people like that, some people don't.

Someone explained this on a previous post as it was helpful for me...an M6 Guarantee basically means that category is sold out already, so you are guaranteeing you will get that category (if a room opens up) or above. At this point, there would be none of that category available. So you could end up with what they consider a higher category, but what you would consider a less desirable something (such as right below the pool, obstructed view, whatever). If that would bother you, pick the room instead of the guaranty.
