I don't think there is such a thing as a "bad" area on the ship.

 

The restaurants are aft as is the kiddie splash area. Nightclubs on the new ships are also aft. Mid is kid programming and more restaurants as well as family oriented areas and beverage station. Forward is spa and adult only pools. So, I'd pick forward, mid, or aft on that basis and price. Then as far as deck....you don't want to be right above or below a nightclub or theatre, or right below the pool deck (cleaning at night).
