Early flight into Miami

I have a reverse problem to some of the posts here - we have a nearly flight into Miami on a Monday - we arrive at just after 8:00am and cannot get on the ship until at least 12 noon for a 5:00pm sailing. We are not checking luggage on the plane, but will have our carryons and a tote bag with us. Any suggestions as to what to do before the cruise? Is there a mall close by? Any other ideas since we will be carrying luggage (which has wheels)?

We have been to Miami before, but either passing through or with a group for a football game, so we really have not seen much of Miami. (except Ikea! :D)

We will be taking a taxi to the port.

I would search for an inexpensive hotel near MIA, reserve it for the Sunday night and let the hotel know that you will not check in until about 8:00 - when you check in ask for a late check out. Sofitel near MIA sometimes offers day rates for about $100.

You'll have 5-6 hours for a nap, shower, dip in the pool and maybe lunch. About 1:00 or so catch a cab to POM and check in for your cruise rested and ready to party! :D

I would be concerned about this if my flight were delayed. We are getting in just after 8:30am, so even if we were on time, that would only be about 3 hours or so to be at a hotel.

I guess we will just find a mall or find a place serving breakfast at MIA.

I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. I was wondering if there was a decent place in the airport to sit and have breakfast.
