lovevacadays Posted February 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2015 I am reading some Carnival ships reviews and I see something mention - FTTF. Could someone explain? It sounds like you can pay an extra amount to get priority booking and some other perks? How much is it? Thanks
mailgirl1978 Posted February 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2015 (edited) 50 per stateroom. Worth every penny in my opinion. Priority boarding and leaving ship. Priority for tender (which was the best part about it...more time at Half moon cay for us!) Special phone line and line at customer service. mailgirl1978 Posted February 15, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2015 Oh and stateroom is ready when you board. You can go straight to your room instead of having to wait til 1pm like everyone else ;) We drop off our carryon stuff and start roaming the ship....or take a nap if we like :) Luggage is there pretty quick too! lovevacadays Posted February 15, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted February 15, 2015 Wow. Thank you for your responses. That should like $50.00 that would be well spent.:):):)

ralindo14 Posted February 15, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 15, 2015 We got it on our last cruise and we got it again on our next cruise. It is well worth the $50. I highly recommend it
cruisecraze96 Posted February 15, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 15, 2015 I am one that budgets that into the cruise price, not everyone on here thinks it is worth it but I am not one :) This next trip on the Breeze I really wanted it just because my mom has a suite so she gets priority boarding, my sister is Premier so she has priority boarding, so I didn't want everyone waiting around, or more likely starting to have fun without me! The last trip with the kids it was very nice to be able to take all the carry on bags, cases of soda to the room and drop it off right as we got on the ship without having to wait until after 1pm. It was also nice to be able to take the youngest one back after lunch to take a nap before muster :) Last trip I had to use the Guest Service line a couple times so it was also good to not have to wait forever to get things resolved :)

I like that the expedite your luggage as well. It does say space is limited so sounds if one was to book a cruise within a month or so of sailing you could miss out. Very nice feature! mailgirl1978 Posted February 16, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 16, 2015 Yes! If it's available now, get it while u can! It's sold out for our Dream cruise next month but I keep checking back daily to see if they have opened any more slots :D
jenne252 Posted February 16, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 16, 2015 I booked for Sept a month ago and it was available (Conquest, out of Fort Lauderdale) and it is still available as of today. I saw it and thought it was miraculous we got it because of all the posts saying they couldn't get it or one just opened up. Lol silly me.
Havingfun2010 Posted February 16, 2015 #11 Share Posted February 16, 2015 It's $50.00 pure profit for carnival just to get to your cabin 60 minutes faster. Everything you get is free
kelkel2 Posted February 16, 2015 #12 Share Posted February 16, 2015 We booked our breeze a year out and it hasn't been released yet, but you better believe I check every single day! I did it on our last cruise on the Liberty. It's so worth it in my opinion. We loved it. We were in our room, with luggage and fully unpacked before muster on our last cruise. That's 100% worth it to me. Some people still hadn't gotten their luggage by dinner and I wouldn't want to have been one of those people... megnut78 Posted February 16, 2015 #13 Share Posted February 16, 2015 We got it for our last cruise and already got it for our cruise coming up in August. If I ONLY had it for the customer service line, it would be well worth it. We had a few issues and had to go to customer service several times and the lines were insane. We got to skip that and had our own line. Also well worth it to start our vacation first and get on the ship and into our room. We beat the lunch lines and don't have to lug our stuff with us. Also had our own lines to get off the ship first when we were in port.
Rare mitsugirly Posted February 16, 2015 #14 Share Posted February 16, 2015 This will be my first time buying the FTTF. I had no idea what it was either and seemed like a waste of money when I hear my friends always buying it. However, I was convinced by others to get it and now I guess I'm glad I did. I will see how it all goes now on my upcoming cruise. (We will have 1 tender port to use it in as well). My cruise was booked about a week ago and it's in about 47 days. When I first booked, it was not available. On Friday morning, they became available again and I snatched one up quickly. Here it is...going on the 4th day...and there's still 11 of them available for our cruise. Go figure. I know people say once they become available, they only offer 15 at a time and they're usually gone within a hour. I guess no one wants it on my cruise? kelkel2 Posted February 16, 2015 #15 Share Posted February 16, 2015 When we first got it, it was brand new. There wasn't any real feedback here yet about it, so it was just us trusting our gut if we should get it or not. Just started a few weeks before our cruise. My husband is the one that convinced me to get it. But we were so happy we did! Personally, I think you'll be happy you did!
Rena921 Posted February 16, 2015 #16 Share Posted February 16, 2015 Priority tended is the best part of FTTF. You go to guest services and they will escort you down to the front of the tender line. It's great! They only release FTTF in small beaches because the number of available spots are directly based on how many platinums/diamonds are on your sailing. Check for it daily...even multiple times a day.
spleenstomper Posted February 16, 2015 #17 Share Posted February 16, 2015 So if we have a suite on a small ship and book a carnival excursion. I assume we have no reason to get FTTF? Ive gone once to customer service in all my cruises...

Ive gone once to customer service in all my cruises... You will not have luggage express, you will not be able to go to your stateroom early, and you will not have priority tender - if you have a tender port (unless it's a Carnival excursion, then you will board with your group). You will have priority boarding and use of the VIP lounge prior to boarding and that's it. Edited February 16, 2015 by Rena921
Martini Mom Posted February 16, 2015 #19 Share Posted February 16, 2015 I bought it for our upcoming cruise. I'm very type A and don't relax well until I'm on board and my luggage is in my room. That's just me. It's a small price to pay for the expedited service.
ASchaff Posted February 16, 2015 #20 Share Posted February 16, 2015 Personally, I don't think it would be worth the money. Having your stateroom ready might be the only perk I would see worth paying for, but even then, it isn't that long of a wait for your stateroom most of the time. I've never experienced any crazy waiting on any of my cruises.
spleenstomper Posted February 16, 2015 #21 Share Posted February 16, 2015 Yeah, we are just going to progreso and cozumel, so im going to skip it this time. If we ever tendered again (esp in belize) id probably get it.

Rare mitsugirly Posted February 17, 2015 #24 Share Posted February 17, 2015 In my booking it says that the FTTF package is sold out??? Is there a way to get on a waiting list for groups that cancel or end up not going?? I mean I know they can't have the entire ship ready early but we never even knew this was an option when we booked with expedia and now that we want it we can't even get it. There isn't a waiting list. Just watch for it to appear again. When we booked our cruise 2 weeks ago it was not available. I checked daily just to see...and then it finally appeared again. They release them by 15 at a time. Priority tended is the best part of FTTF. You go to guest services and they will escort you down to the front of the tender line. It's great! So you go to the guest services...as in the front desk where you go when you have issues or questions to get the escort to the tenders? Do they just have staff dedicated to doing this? I assume the people at the desk just can't up and leave at any time.

They will have someone escort you down. The last cruise, they had one of the ships officers take us down. We felt extra special. :)
