Celebration - Caribbean Treasures

Jus back this morning from a week on the Celebration. Our first time on this ship although we have cruised the Spirit in past years. Will post a full report post jet lag but suffice to say we had a fantastic time. For an old ship she brushes up well!

A friend was on that cruise and she has just emailed to say they had the Dreamliner to Manchester :)

Your friend was correct, quite a surprise as we were scheduled to fly back on a 767. The Dreamliner was only 3 weeks old. The 767 out flew at around 480 mph whereas the 787 flew at 680. Reduced the return journey to about 7 hours. Mind you we did have a 100 mph headwind going and a 100mph tailwind on the return.

I had read some reviews about the 767 which came back a couple of weeks ago and was in a rather disgusting and destined for the breakers yard in a few weeks!

Yeah I was on it 2 weeks ago it was horrible, damp rickety old thing! still got a cough now!
