Clarea Posted February 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2015 what are the best internet packages in you opinion for this ship? Prices are the same as on Freedom: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=43588751&postcount=37 What's "best" for you is something you have to determine. Rare thrifty99 Posted February 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2015 Best in my opinion was "none of the above". On our December cruise, it was too slow / unreliable to do much. Sometimes took 5 minutes to load a web page - slower than the old dial up. I ended up using internet in most ports and cost was reasonable (usually $5 - $10 for an hour of internet if free was not available). Depending on your ports, US carriers may have that as part of their territory as well. (ATT coverage territory includes Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands). Love the high speed internet on Oasis / Allure (assume Quantum has it too) and can't wait for them to expand this to other ships.
fenton04 Posted February 28, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2015 We took AOS in February and agree very slow. Rumor is that the Internet server are going to be upgrade soon to a better faster speed.
Rare NorbertsNiece Posted February 28, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 28, 2015 If you can locate the traditional hotspots you will find things a lot easier. I have a tendency to blog from outside a conference center on board or the Viking Crown even on a ship that is supposed to pervasive wifi.
