DimSum Posted February 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2015 Is the NCL Sky Kid/Family friendly? I will be traveling with a 7yo and 10yo, It's not a complete party boat is it? I have read some reviews that it's a party boat and some say it's more relaxed. I'm sure what to expect. TIA
GoofyCrew Posted February 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2015 I've heard that the Sky is very similar to the Sun in vibe and in layout. We traveled last month on the Sun with our 7 and 11 years and had a great time! There aren't all of the kid-magnet bells and whistles (water slides and characters) but our kids loved it just the same! We didn't go out to nightlife scene. I am sure there was one, but we never joined in. The craziest it got was the 'sexy legs' contest at the pool one afternoon. I am sure a lot depends on when you travel. We were off-season for all school vacations so there weren't many kids on the ship. Not sure any cruise would be non-party if it was college Spring Break!
D&J 2004 Posted February 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2015 My wife and I were on the Sky with our 2 boys (6 & 8) in October. We had no complaints about people partying. Before we left I found a great review from a non partier that put my mind at ease. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2028903
