Check in time

I apologize if this has been asked, but I don't have time to read through all the threads, and would appreciated some advice.

First question is:

My cruise contract says check in time range: 12:30-3:30.

Can I arrive at the port and check in earlier than that?

My second question is

We have a rental car to return to the Budget office just outside the port area. I have no clue how easy/difficult it is to navigate the Port Everglades area and will be boarding Oasis. Would you recommend that my husband drop us and the luggage off inside the port area then return the rental to take the shuttle in...or would it save time for us to all return the car and take the shuttle into the port area together?

Thank you for your help!

You can usually check-in as early as 11am. Some report even earlier.

There is pretty good signage at Port Everglades, I don't think it would be a problem to drop guests and bags at the terminal and then go back to the rental agency.

I was at Port E in the Fall and there was a lot of construction. Not sure how much luggage you're talking about but dropping it first sounds like a good idea. I have always checked in earlier than it says. Sometimes you're just lucky with no lines......sometimes you're not! Hope you have a great cruise!
