lorri111 Posted February 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Which is the best part of a ship for getting a stable voyage? I fancy the aft suites but am worried about excessive ship movement. Do you pick up any ship noises from the aft?
Loonbeam Posted February 20, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Noise will vary from ship to ship. As far as motion, the closer you are to the middle of the ship, both vertically and horizontally, the more stable you will be. Simple physics. AKman2495 Posted February 20, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Think see-saw...the ends -fore and aft have the biggest movement, the center the least.
lovevacadays Posted February 21, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Midship and low will have the least movement. In regards to noise in aft cabins, it can depend on what is below and above you. Perhaps post what cabins you might be looking at and on what ship and some folks might be able to chime in.

mmckm Posted February 21, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 21, 2015 If it's windy and wave heights are extreme, you will feel it everywhere. It's very seldom that you can't feel any motion. Some areas are a little better but you will still most times feel something.
