Noise will vary from ship to ship.

 

As far as motion, the closer you are to the middle of the ship, both vertically and horizontally, the more stable you will be. Simple physics.

 

Which is the best part of a ship for getting a stable voyage? I fancy the aft suites but am worried about excessive ship movement. Do you pick up any ship noises from the aft?

Try the middle of the ship laterally and longitudinally. That's roughly the Center of Gravity having the least reaction to rough seas.

Another thing to think about is which dining room you have dinner in. Some are in the back of the ship. Ask when booking to be in a center dining room.
