PBI: Transport to/from Port of Miami (Carnival)

For those that have flown into PBI for Miami Cruises...

 

What transportation is available between PBI and Miami hotels the day before our cruise? I don't really want to rent a car but would consider that as an option. Any form of public transportation or shuttles?

 

Also between Carnival's Miami Port and PBI for after cruise... What does Carnival charge assuming they run a bus there? Times? Other form of public transportation?

 

If I do go into PBI for the return after cruise, what's the earliest departure I'd want to risk?

 

Would rather go into FLL or MIA but there's a PBI fare at 207pp. I doubt that FLL or MIA will get that cheap. However, for FLL/MIA would have opportunity to go nonstop w/those and if ground transport is cheaper and/or more convenient then wouldn't want to necessarily go cheaper on the air.
