Quantum: A Quick Opinion on our Cruise

The staff is very friendly. (we only encountered 1 staff member that wasn't very happy :(... ) We really loved them... Our cabin was wonderful. (tons of storage, loved the virtual balcony) Internet speed was fast! Technology was working fine with the RC App...Solarium was beautiful, Chair hog police were in force. (Some still got away with it still) Prices on drinks have gone up a little. Getting seated for dinner was fast. ( getting served was a little wait :( but they seem to be a little short of staff.) Food was fine. Our favorite restaurant was SILK, service and food was amazing.. Disembarking was a breeze as so was embarking. The problem was when we got through customs. It was extremely frigid outside 18 below zero. We were directed outside to a tarp like structure with no front. We waited 1 1/2 hours for our transportation In bitter cold temperatures. Some people went back inside while others were told they could not return inside while others were told they could come inside but they needed to leave their luggage out... The ship is absolutely beautiful. A ton of fun activities. The shows were amazing. It was a Fun Cruise!!!!!:D

Glad you had a pleasurable trip, she is a beauty. We enjoyed our cruise last month very much and I didn't want to get off her.

 

Were you aware there are many propane heaters outside? They kept us very warm while waiting for our ride to arrive.

There were 2 propane heaters that were outside the tarp, one small portable heater inside...With the temperatures that cold it just didn't do a thing. I felt so bad there were elderly people and small children and babies. I just think they didn't think this one through enough... It is such a beautiful ship, I was glad we got to experience it. :)

Embarking and debarking at Cape Liberty is SIGNIFICANTLY improved with the new terminal. We also got off the ship and had to wait for our ride to pick us up. I nicely asked the security guard if we could come back inside because we had over an hour wait....they immediately let us into the terminal and even helped us carry our luggage out when our ride arrived. Saw many families, elderly, etc., who were helped by security to stay in a warm location until they were picked up. We did not try to go back into where we exited, but went to the entrance of the terminal -- they were letting exiting passengers wait in this area before the security lines.
