RocketMan275 Posted February 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2015 It appears that Allure of the Seas has done a 180 and is returning to Port Everglades Looks like it. Nieuw Amsterdam stopped off shore for about an hour while a couple of small boats came along side. Opened up their tendering area and rigged a gang plank. NA is picking up speed and head off to sea. Interesting day.

wdrl Posted February 22, 2015 #12 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Two medical emergencies in one day, Neiuw Amersterdam off loaded their stretcher to the Sheriffs boat and now the Allure is returning to port for their passenger. Wow! I hope both are not seriously ill, and just couldn't do 7 days at seas.
indiaksue Posted February 22, 2015 #13 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Watching the Allure from our balcony at Hilton Marina. It barely went out to sea and it did a 180 and came back. Ambulance waiting at pier. Really sad way to start a vacation. :(
pjo Posted February 22, 2015 #14 Share Posted February 22, 2015 You can see the ship on the port webcam coming back. Paul
bluegirlum Posted February 22, 2015 #15 Share Posted February 22, 2015 I see it coming back in. I wonder how those decisions are made---come back in, have the Sheriff's boat come to them, etc. I hope everyone is ok.
wdrl Posted February 22, 2015 #16 Share Posted February 22, 2015 (edited) Perhaps the passenger is more seriously ill on the Allure versus a fall or injury of that nature on the NA. If it is a heart attack you wouldn't want to send a pax via a small boat to shore. Edited February 22, 2015 by wdrl
