Looks like it. Nieuw Amsterdam stopped off shore for about an hour while a couple of small boats came along side. Opened up their tendering area and rigged a gang plank. NA is picking up speed and head off to sea. Interesting day.

Just heard on the radio Allure is returning for a medical emergency. Two ships from Ft. Lauderdale had medical emergencies today! :eek:

Two medical emergencies in one day, Neiuw Amersterdam off loaded their stretcher to the Sheriffs boat and now the Allure is returning to port for their passenger. Wow! I hope both are not seriously ill, and just couldn't do 7 days at seas.

Watching the Allure from our balcony at Hilton Marina. It barely went out to sea and it did a 180 and came back. Ambulance waiting at pier. Really sad way to start a vacation.

I see it coming back in. I wonder how those decisions are made---come back in, have the Sheriff's boat come to them, etc. I hope everyone is ok.

Perhaps the passenger is more seriously ill on the Allure versus a fall or injury of that nature on the NA. If it is a heart attack you wouldn't want to send a pax via a small boat to shore.
