3kids1dog Posted February 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2015 We are planning on going to Accra (sp?) beach for the day. We would like to see some turtles as well. I know there is snorkeling there, does anyone know if the turtles are around that area?
Noblarneyimirish Posted March 21, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2015 We were at Accura last week at the tikki bar. Waves were big that day. You wouldn't have been able to snorkel that day.
roysue Posted March 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2015 We just came back the Caribbean and a wonderful day on Barbados. We did a private transportation to Accra beach just for some sun and beach time. We were disappointed that we hadn't planned on going out with the turtles. The vendors are right on the beach and the going rate early in the morning was 25 dollars but dropped as the day went on. The seas were calm that day and it looked like a reasonable swim to where the boats were anchored.
aimodels Posted March 24, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 24, 2015 We used to go to Rockley/Accra every morning and swim with the turtles at the reef straight out from the Tiki Bar. We would usually get there about 7:30 or 8:00 and have at least 2 hours with the turtles by ourselves... Here are some photos from that trip. All of the Hawksbill photos were taken at that reef... https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.472934985680.246435.567405680&type=1&l=fbb241f817 Cheers, P:)
