Do cell phones work in Bermuda? I'm on Sprint.

Go to the Bermuda board under ports of call and search the forum for cell phones. Most of the discussions concern Verizon, but there is one comment by a Sprint user who said they were successfully able to use their Sprint phone - for a HUGE roaming charge.

 

Not sure, but with some services you can sign up for an international calling plan before you leave and cancel it when you return... might be worth checking out.

I wouldn't want to pay the huge roaming fees. Don't forget unless you have an international plan with Sprint, and most plans are not, the extra fees will be significant. you'd be better off buying a calling card that allows international calls and finding a pay phone.

Just pulled this off of the Sprint website yesturday:

And those calls run $6.50 a minute which is just a little bit better than the $9.50 a minute the ship charges, but still insanely expensive. We found that out the hard way using our cell phone on the Summit.
