Hi all!

Initially, we had planned to go to Alaska in June but due to work schedules, August may be better. Trying to make the final decision before Summer 2016 dates are released. Anyone have any recommendations one way or another? Any help deciding would be greatly appreciated!

Personally I like mid June for the longest daylight hours. I love being on deck at dawn or dusk in the evening watching the scenery go by. Mid Aug you have the salmon running and probably a better chance for bears.

I spend time in Alaska every August and have had wonderful trips.

There are no guarantees on weather.

I suggest go when it fits your timeframe best. Either- with good plans will offer great trips.

we have done June, July and August.

I agree for longer days June was best, BUT for salmon and bears and whales August was fantastic. We enjoyed both Northbound and RT VanCouver routes as well. BUT so far have LOVED Celebrity as far as lines go!
