We've done quite a few cruises but I don't remember how many shares of CCL one has to own in order to get the cabin credit. Can someone enlighten me on this. Thanks in advance

Cheers, Kenn

In Carnival's defense, most analysts do see a lot of upward potential. Its below the median forecast right now and in fact gained 2% today. I bought quite a few shares after the Concordia disaster, sold off the profit and keep a few hundred shares just for the onboard credit...and darn if that stock STILL isn't making me money! I consider the shareholder shipboard credit just one more dividend. :D:D

Right now it states that it is good for sailings thru July, 2015. I am sailing Oct. 2nd. I know they usually extent the date as it gets close, but does anyone know if I send in my certificate now, will it be honored.

They keep extending it so wouldnt be worried. Kind of early to send it for an Oct 2 cruise. We have one about than on Princess and will send it in sometime this summer.

Don't buy for reward as it can't be used on most fares.

Buy it because it is a good buy.

Also bought a lot after Concordia. Have held due to what I consider its positives Low crude price, movement to China of ships for gambling revenue and graying of America.

Expect it to double in next three years

I have used my shareholder credit on every cruise that I have sent in the proof for. Can you explain when you were unable to get the shipboard credit?

Just got denied for the first time. We have probably used it 15 times. Premier casino cruises, past guest rates, casino rates, pack and play. We've never booked early saver. But this next cruise was some crazy casino rate ($180 pp balcony Plus OBC on the Breeze for 8 days). I requested the stockholder credit and they said our rate wasn't eligible. Cruise was still a great deal!

We are going on the casino rate in a few weeks we upgraded and paid a little more and they gave us the $100 X 2 one for the OBC the casino offered and one for stockholder credit ,I would re fax it and try again.Like everything else Carnival is hit or miss

Good Point. Thanks! I usually email it in. I'll try faxing and see if I have any different luck.

Other than perhaps casiino rate, can be used for all fares.
