BX Guaranty on Dawn just assigned!!

I've always wanted to book a balcony guaranty as long as it was just DH and I traveling without kids. We finally did it a few weeks ago and just today learned that we've been assigned #9562. I've searched this site looking for info on this cabin. I mainly want to know if it's a regular balcony or a "hull". Other than that, if anyone has first-hand knowledge of it, a quick review would be awesome!

The in-hull balconies on the Dawn are mostly on Deck 8 forward, otherwise they are only the first few balconies on Decks 9-11 forward. You can see this pretty clearly in this photo of the starboard side of the ship. 9562 is a regular balcony, and it looks like a great location to me!

Ahhhh. Thank you, Hawkeye. I did look at the deck plan as soon as I learned the cabin #. I've only heard about the "hull" balconies and, although it wouldn't be my first choice, we were prepared to enjoy whatever was assigned to us. In this case, I feel that we gambled and won!

Good cabin location . Near the forward elevator / stairs , much more user friendly " midship elevators are a pain " . You may hear a little noise from the deck 8 pump room under you . :(

 

We did have a hulled balcony #8538 last trip and Loved it .

We ran strait into hurricane Fay in Bermuda , that hulled balcony was the place to be . ;)
