In reading through the description of the excursions for Nassau my wife spotted the disclaimer that you should be will and able to walk up to a 1/2 mile to reach the buses and starting point for the excursions.

Any one with first hand experience on this? How far is it really?

If you have a mobility problem they will get you transport out to the area where you will get to the transport.

Suggest you bring a wheelchair with you if possible. Airlines will transport it for free.

If not go to the front desk and talk to them and they may lend you one. They are not required to give you wheelchair for port use. When we were in Alaska Ruth had some real problems and I went to the front desk and they let us use one in every port.

Ruth uses her wheelchair or pushes it as a walker, and then fills it up like a shopping cart. Very versatile piece of equipment....
