Hi Elaine 515

Hope you had a great time in Nassau at the Wyndham. Hope you are relaxed and refreshed. Well, after you get stuff unpacked and laundry done you will be...

I decided I would put you a "reminder" post to let us know (as you said you would in another post) if we were welcome or not at the Wyndham at Cable Beach... We loved it when we went last time.

We sure appreciate the info and hope you will say they said "Cruisers, Come on down and have a good time"!

Thanks and go ahead and start planning your next trip!!!!

Wow, it was so cool to see my names "in lights"!!

Anyways, yes, I did remember to "scope" out Wyndham Crystal Palace and here is what I learned.

There was absolutely no "police" around the pool or beach. Noone was checking wristbands or room keys or anything at all. As I previously mentioned, I did "rent" a room for the day, but the rest of my party walked into the lobby, went right thru to the back, walked out to the pool, laid down their belongings and went swimming!! All this before I even finished "checking in"!!

Couple of suggestions....Don't look like a tourist, i.e, carry a little beach bag and if you have a regular size navy blue beach towel, thats the kind that the Wyndham gives to their guests to use, so you'll fit right in. Don't panic if you don't have one, I did see a couple of people around the pool area with their own beach towels, and again, noone approached them or said anything to them.

We didn't go to the beach, but I did look for anyone who might be looking for the "uninivited" and didn't see anyone at all. The pool was wonderful. We did get drinks at the swim up bar and for that, we signed for it to the room. But, inside the casino itself there was a small cafe which is where we ate. We paid for these meals with cash and I believe you can use cash at the outside bar/restaurant as well.

Also of interest, we took the #10 bus to and from the port. It was easy. You had to walk a little bit to where the Straw Market is. Right across the street is the "bus stop". The ride is all of 15 minutes. You pay the driver $1 (exact change required) when you get off. We picked the bus up right outside the Wyndham for the trip back. If you're concerned/worried about where to get off, just tell the driver where you're going and when you get there, he'll let you know.

Wyndham is still my favorite hotel as far as Nassau goes. As a matter of fact, on the ship that night, I heard plently of negative things said about the staff at Atlantis. Fellow passengers said that they were rude and just plain nasty. Wyndham staff was very polite and friendly. Upon checking out, I even thanked them for allowing us to use their facilities and the hospitality their staff showed us.

So, in conclusion, I would say that its safe to go to Wyndham's and use their pool/beach without being nervous or worried and "Cruisers, Come on down and have a good time"!

If you have any further questions, just ask....

Elaine :)

Elaine:

What a good report and info you have given.

If Charlie needs a fourth investigative angel, put me down for a reference if you apply.

Can't wait to go and thanks so much for your help. Wish I was there right now... sigh... We will check out the bus. Very informative and made me feel comfortable rather than the taxi. More $ for swim up bar and casino now!!!!!!

Cruise in March???? Alright Elaine!!! Glad for you!! Now, what hotel can you snoop out for us then?????? :)

Thanks again and well done. You told me what I wanted to know.
