henryblue Posted March 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2015 Hi, my husband and I will be cruising for our 25th anniversary. It is our first trip abroad and I am beginning the daunting job of looking for a nice hotel in Barcelona. We will arrive the morning of 9/11 so will have a few days to explore before leaving. Anyone have any input? We are pretty flexible as far as amenities- 3 -5 star would be fine. Thanks much! Also hi to anyone booked on this cruise - Jean

Rare Lady Arwen Posted March 16, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 16, 2015 We are also on Allure in October. We are booked at Room Mate Pau in Barcelona at the top end of Las Ramblas. A very nice, modern hotel. Not cheap, but not overly expensive. Close to restaurants and the bus stop.

Cruising4food Posted March 17, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) Here´s a good list of affordable hotels with personality that the Guardian just posted today. http://www.theguardian.com/travel/2015/mar/17/barcelona-spain-budget-hotels-hostels-guesthouses I particularly like Hotel Praktik Bakery for the concept of fusioning hotel with a bakery.
