crab cakes in MDR

It was a different cruise line, but I got crab cakes when they where not on the menu in the MDR. I asked the maitre d for them and we got them the next night. They didn't charge me anything, which was a nice surprise.

Soooo....if they are not on the menu, don't be afraid to ask for them.

Good luck.

Gem in Nov. 2015 or 2016 ?? Try asking those questions a month or two before you sail date - nothing is definitive these days with all the givens & unknown. I can tell you we had them on the Carnavel Splendor 2 years ago out of NY - in the MDR - and they were excellent.

We loved them too ourselves and will be on the lookout for them next week on the Breakaway sailing out of NY. Don't be surprised if NCL will come up with newer menu items and substitute fish cakes instead - what do you think ?
