bettyboopcuiser Posted March 31, 2015 #26 Share Posted March 31, 2015 Make sure you cash out when you walk away from a machine. The reason I say that is on the Carnival Splendor I walked up to a machine and inserted my card. Put my PIN in and realized I had over $200 on the machine and had not done anything else. Not downloaded funds or anything. The person before me, I am sorry I had no idea who that was, pulled their card out and walked away. I called the attendant and he had me cash out. He told me they would hold the money for 48 hours. If no one claimed it I would receive it because my card cashed it out. Two days later I received the money on my ship board account. All be careful. Make sure you totally cash out when you walk away from a machine every time. Well maybe too much drinking and gambling going on
LeeW Posted April 2, 2015 #27 Share Posted April 2, 2015 Actually won $1200 and in theory I saved it to my card but not there when I went to the cashiers cage. Turns out it was still on the machine. The machine was locked and would not accept any other card but mine, but still wouldn't credit to my account. No problem - manager just verified it with records and 15 minutes later cashed out at cage. So I doubt anyone else would get your credits, but make sure you "load to card" before leaving any machine. In our experience there are signs everywhere and annoying announcements every 15 minutes on the last night to cash out. And usually only one cashier open.... Did they have you fill out a form and then issue you a W2-G for the Slot gambling winnings of $1200 and greater? Happy Cruising!
