kesham13 Posted March 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Sailing on Valor out of P.C. May 30th, 7 day Western Caribbean. Currently booked Inside Guarantee, but with the 12 hour sale going on today I could upgrade to Oceanview Guarantee for $20 per person. Should I go for the "upgrade" or just let it ride and spend the money elsewhere? Thanks for your opinions! ;)
UKJJ Posted March 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2015 I'd go for the upgrade. I love the natural light in the mornings. Helps to wake me up and start the day.

What you think is all that matters.
Velvetwater Posted March 23, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Yes...inside cabins have lots of possible nightmare locations...plus a view of the ocean for the price of 2 drinks? Who could say no ;)
Sooner-Cruisers Posted March 23, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 23, 2015 I would, the rooms are usually bigger and have a couch, the window is just a bonus! :)

islandatsea Posted March 23, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 23, 2015 We would do the upgrade for the 7 day cruise @ $20 each.
taecruise2 Posted March 23, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 23, 2015 I'd go for the upgrade if possible. Nothing better that the natural light and the constant view of the ocean :)
DaiLina Posted March 23, 2015 #9 Share Posted March 23, 2015 I would go for the upgrade. That's a great deal for only $20pp, absolutely worth it.
rtap23 Posted March 23, 2015 #10 Share Posted March 23, 2015 That would be entirely up to you. We wouldn't do it since we love are dark interior cabins.
Beachiekeen Posted March 23, 2015 #11 Share Posted March 23, 2015 I just got back from my first cruise. That is what we did--chose the guarantee at a sale and upgraded to the OV. We actually ended up with a deluxe OV with two showers. The room felt so big to me and I loved having the window. To me, that is a no-brainer! The only bad thing was we ended up on the Riveria deck, aft which was very noisy and a little rocky! But I got used to it and it was still worth it to have the extra space and window. K&P Luv2Cruise Posted March 23, 2015 #13 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Just be careful of changing from one 'deal' to the next...depending on which fare you originally booked under, you may have to come up with the full deposit amount or something. Definitely check out the locations on deckplans before calling, and if possible, have them open on your computer so if they give you options, you can make an informed decision. Best of luck, and enjoy your OV.
