Calling recent cruisers!!

We're travelling to the Bahamas in Mid Oct, and can't decide between Cable Beach and Paradise Island(not Atlantis). Any recent visitors to the Nassau Beach Hotel? I've read many mixed reviews. We're not looking for a 5 star resort, but are booking a room due to travelling with 3 young kids. I'd appreciate any opinions..............Thanks, Vicki

If you are just using it as a changing room and shower.. NBH is fine. It's like a Ramada Inn on the beach. Nothing fancy. If you're afraid it might be musty.. bring along a can of lysol or febreeze.

Of course, you won't have access to Atlantis from the Cable Beach Hotels. Only Atlantis, Comfort Suites, Harbourside and Ocean Club allow use of all Atlantis facilities.

Don't think there's much to do at NBH for the kids, but the beach and 2 pools always kept my kids entertained. Bring along a cheap mask and snorkel... there's some small fish near shore for the kids to explore.

Thanks, Scubagirl...That's what we're using it for!! And a place for the 20 month old to nap...My thought is that it's still close enough to the ship, and other attractions. Does that area of Cable beach get relly crowded?
