Car rental Houston hobby

We will be sailing on CCL Freedom in 2/13/16. Can anyone share what they may have paid in the past for a rental car for the week? Trying to determine if it's worth it to rent or just take shuttles. Prices now are $300+ which to me is outrageous. I'm sure it will get cheaper but would like a ballpark number to determine if it's even an option for us. Thanks.

I was able to rent my car for $217 for the week from Hobby.

 

We are sailing 5/9/15 on the Freedom and plan to park it at the park/cruise across the street.

 

There are 5 of us which would have cost us $400 with Carnival transfers. This is cheaper and gives us more control over timings.

Well, that was a pretty stupid comment on my part. I just re-rented my car with Advantage. $267 vs. $416!
