Is Epic still smoky?

hi I've booked Epic for June 2016. Have heard it has been very smoky in the casino area in the past. Can anyone update me as to whether this is still the case, or have there been improvements?

Ive been on the epic twice never felt smoke on the casino or anywhere else..it is one of my best ships..i am booked on her again on january dont worry you will be fine

We didn't notice much smoke when we were on the Epic a few weeks ago. Every once in a while you could smell it if you passed someone that was smoking, otherwise we didn't really notice it. The rules are that you can't smoke unless actively playing though.

On the March 1st sailing, I also found the casino to not be overly smokey. I only noticed it a couple times when I happened to walk directly by someone who was smoking. I was also on the Epic shortly after it launched and I seem to recall it being more smokey the first time compared to this month. I had no complaints with walking thru and around the casino this time.

I've sailed on Epic every year since she was built. Have never noticed any smoke issues in the Casino..

Never had an issue with smoke when we cruised on the Epic.

As to answer your question it depends on how sensitive you are to smoke.

I'm pretty sure they've solved the smoke issue others have posted about. Was on the march 1 sailing too and walked through the casino several times a day. Never noticed any unless I walked right past someone actively smoking.

Relative to a casino on land, very little smoke.

For a non smoker that dislikes smoke, it was still very noticeable on our recent sailing. I'd say the casino-centered ship was my biggest disappointment in the Epic. There didn't seem to be a way to avoid the dark, stinky area. But, we still had a great time and would sail on the Epic again....just race through the casino!

Well I was there in January 2014 and the casino was quite smoky. I did a back to back with the Carnival Breeze and that was one thing that I noticed, Epic was smokier than the Breeze. I am used to Vegas casinos and do not find the strip ones smoky but the cruise ship ones do bother me, I'm an ex smoker so I am very sensitive to it.
