Getting around St. John

Hi, we were wondering if it's possible to go on the tram in St. Thomas and head over to the ferry, rent a car in ST. John, explore all the great beaches and get back to the boat in time? We have from 7am to 4pm , we'll be on Carnival. Any better suggs on how to do this ? Or tours that would good for this? :) Or anything else we should include? Please and Thank you

You cound taxi to Red Hook and ferry to Cruz Bay and rent a car. It's often hard to reserve a car for just one day but if not in high season you can probably find one in Cruz Bay. You wouldn't have a lot of time to see the island though and it might make more sense to just take the island tour and get dropped at a beach, then enjoy a lunch in Cruz Bay if time allows.

If you go on your own you have the utmost flexibility, just be sure to be in line early for the 2PM ferry back.

I would skip the tram and head right over to St. John as early as possible, then get back into the vicinity of the port and do the tram at the end if you have time.

oh if you're asking if you have time to take the aerial tram to paradise Point then head over to STJ that's definitely a "no". PP is great after spending time at a beach but you need an hour or 2 to spend there.
