What to do with the Ship Pins?

I always thought it would be AWASOME to make a resin table top or cutting board using the pins... Like this one they made with bottle caps...

If you made/bought a wood frame, cork board and arranged the pins, the. Pour the resin over them and leave it set I think it would be a cool tabletop or cutting board? My friend did this once with sea glass and it looked amazing... And it was easy (just need to leave it the Entire time to set).
