Question regarding Oosterdam front deck access

I have noticed on deck plans that the Oosterdam has areas on the Verandah, Upper Verandah and Rotterdam that appear to be public areas. Are there doors to access these areas?

Sorry but don't understand your question?

The title of this thread is Front deck access, but you are asking about verandah, upper verandah & Rotterdam decks which appear to have public areas.. OOPS sorry just realized it said DECK NOT DESK..Could you be looking at the Atrium area which can go up several decks with a chandelier on the ceiling or a large fountain down below, which you can look down on & see the front desk? Or could you be looking at the area where the glass elevators are ?

I agree with klamloops sometimes they permit Passengers to access certain areas on some cruises but I think those areas are normally off limits. & maybe only available to those on each of the decks..

Some HAL ship have a couple of decks and bow that can be accessed.

Access is restricted to certain times. Mostly when doing scenic cruising .

For example Panama Canal , Glacier Bay and Hubbard Glacier.

There might be other times that they are open as well .

Access is thru crew doors that normally are closed to passengers and open when areas are open for passengers.

Yes you can get to front deck areas -- only when they are open -- like in Alaska for glacier viewing -- going through the Panama Canal, etc. -- Verandah, Upper Verandah, Rotterdam and Navigation Decks.

On the Lido Deck -- on the starboard side, there is a door that opens to the deck in front of the gym.
