Jillibean Posted April 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2015 I'm sure this has been asked and answered many times but I have searched in vain and running out of time before we leave Australia for our Panama Canal Veendam cruise. We are considering a 7 bottle wine package and wonder about its "portability" ie where can it be used. Can we take a bottle to bars and restaurants other than the MDR? Will the waiter put our name on it for the following night if not finished. etc Many thanks!
Krazy Kruizers Posted April 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2015 Yes -- you can take your bottle of wine to any lounge/bar. In the dining room and bars -- if you do not finish your bottle, they will tag it with your name and cabin number. Even the lounges/bars will store the bottle for you. Rare Vict0riann Posted April 8, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 8, 2015 You really don't have to carry any bottles around at all. Your package will be in the computer, and all you will have to do is ask a bar steward to get you a bottle wherever you want it, in a bar, the Lido restaurant, or the MDR. summersigh Posted April 8, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 8, 2015 Our favorite wines weren't on a package but were available on the Indulgences wine section so we ordered bottles from there and chose the option for Dining as opposed to Stateroom. We had no problem getting them served in the MDR and the cost was within $5 of buying a package.;)
