sidari Posted April 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2015 Is this where MSC got their ideas from for the Project Seaside Class ? the Aida Prima was ordered in 2011 along with a sister ship, take a look at the video of the Prima and the one of Seaside and you will see many similarities between the two exterior wise. The bow of the Prima makes it look somewhat ugly and a throwback to ships of old. Aida Prima floatout ... check out the Bow. Mikesa1721 Posted April 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2015 I do see some elements that are similar Sidari. The 2 story atrium section as well as the outdoor promenade decks look alike. I'd like to see her when she's finished to make a better comparison though, but I guess her completion schedule has been moved to October instead of this past March. sidari Posted April 8, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted April 8, 2015 Hi Mike ... Yes they are very similar, the inside of Prima looks good, no idea why they went for the Bow idea though seems very odd.

It looks like Virgin's "X"hull rendering Edited April 8, 2015 by Mikesa1721
sidari Posted April 9, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted April 9, 2015 The Virgin one looks like a Steam Iron ! the X bow used on many of the supply ships to the Norwegian oil fields has more of a curve on them, the Prima Bow looks like an old early 1900s design.
