Getaway - Best Excursions??

What do you think are the best excursions for St Thomas, Tortola, and Nassau? We aren't really snorkel fans but we love the beach.

We love Tortola! We haven't been there in awhile but now so happy that NCL is offering this port on Getaway and then Escape..... So excited that we are booked in May and August for Getaway, and then January on Escape. Loved everything about Tortola and the British Virgin Islands....so laid back compared to St Thomas. If this might be your only trip to Tortola you really need to visit 'The Baths' at Virgin Gorda. You don't need to snorkel to enjoy the beach and walking through the huge boulders that create 'caves' on the shore.

Great! I've added it to my list. I should note that we have children ages 7 and 9 with us. All 4 of us are from Florida and are great swimmers. So water activities shouldn't be an issue. :) Keep the ideas coming! Thanks!

The port of call section for the places inquired about has been a great resource for me. Try there as well.

 

I have only been snorkeling on St. Thomas. Nassau just walked around a little. Have never been to Tortola, but am excited to visit with the Escape.

A daysail aboard a 53-ft yacht from Sapphire Marina to St. John on either Nightwind or Alaunt. Those are among the best excursions we've ever done. You can get more info through Tripadvisor.

You know if you have never snorkeled the reefs around St. Thomas, you may be missing out. I know you said you don't care for snorkeling. The reefs around the island are teeming with sea life, and usually the excursions include a nice boat trip with a colorful crew. They often include rum punch for the adults.

 

Just don't write that off completely. At least for St. Thomas. It was my kids best memory of their cruise to St. Thomas.
