CruisingFireMedic Posted April 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2015 My wife and I are sailing on the Getaway 5/2/15. We've been married for 5 years and it kind of slipped our mind for her to get her passport updated with her new last name. We sailed on RCC for our honeymoon and they just needed us to bring our marriage license. Do you know if we will have any trouble boarding? Thanks in advance. kandpsmom Posted April 12, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2015 She shouldn't have problems. She will need to bring the marriage license again too though. Does her driver's license have the married name? If so, that will also help the situation.
TavelRN Posted April 12, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2015 I'm would call and make sure first. Take note of the person you spoke to, and if possible request this in writing.

I think this is the route that I am going to take just to make sure that we won't have any issues and if we do atleast I have something in writing. Thank you! Or carry an official copy of her birth certificate as a back up. She needed that at one time to get a passport I imagine.

I asked my PCC 2x on the phone and confirmed via email so I have it in writing. More lax than TSA, glad I don't have to fly! :D Have a wonderful cruise!! Kingofwylietx Posted April 15, 2015 #8 Share Posted April 15, 2015 Is it too late to do an expedited change to the passport? You have a couple of weeks.
