narend Posted April 17, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2015 We are sailing this Saturday. Boarding pass says 1-3 pm for boarding, and we have Priority boarding. Are they strict about the 1pm start time? How early can I try to board? Thanks
theriac Posted April 17, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2015 I'd say get there at like 1030 or 11 but I'd ask on the carnival board. Some recent cruisers may be able to help you out. Captain Carnival will know the answer as this ports his specialty.
Rare crewsweeper Posted April 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2015 Carnival sends these emails to everyone on any ship in any port. Generally priority boarding begins around 11:30 with general boarding starting soon afterward. The boarding may be delayed if inspections are going long and debarking was delayed. But as previous post, getting to the Tampa terminal between 10:30 and 11 AM should put you in a low number boarding zone. You just have to wait in the terminal until that zone is called. But that's better than getting to the terminal around 1PM when the lines are longest and you still may have to wait to board.
