t2limar Posted April 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2015 Would like to know how much it costs for a basic a photo package and what it consists of. Our family of 12 is going on Norwegian Getaway with a budget. Not sure how it works if we would like to purchase only one package that has photos of our entire group. Thanks in advance. HazelSmrf Posted April 18, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 18, 2015 You can pay per photo, or for a package of 10 photos or a package of 20 photos, you pick the photos you want.
bambione Posted April 19, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2015 I went with a large group on the Getaway a year ago. Not all of us would be in the same picture at the same time. So if I was around when they were having a picture taken of maybe just a few of them I told the photography to put it on my room. That way I could get all the pictures for the group price and just give them copies. I also had the pictures put on a flash drive, made it easy to give everyone their copies. Rare mking8288 Posted April 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2015 Similarly on the BA, ship's photographer will ask for cabin #'s when taking the photo, and if all of them are designated to one stateroom for all parties - it should be grouped in that folder/binder - then, toward the end of the cruise (don't wait till the last day as it will madness with the crowd in the photo center) sort out the ones wanted & get it paid for, the extra charge for the USB stick was $20, I believe (maybe it was just $10, memories not as good as in younger days) with the release - then, make copies after getting home & distribute/share & split/share the total cost (since OP said being on a budget) The photo package on the BA last month was 10 for $129, 20 for $199 and there's supposed to be one at 30 for $249 (but, don't recall seeing it being promoted/listed onboard at our sailing) Further tiered discounts (Latitude members) are not supposed to be given, but we did get ours in 2014 as we took 10 but only purchased 3 this year so got 25% for being Platinum. Project-College Posted April 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2015 If all you want are the digitals, i.e. no printed copies,... are they available just on a memory stick or download? Cost? Will be going on the Breakaway 7/19/
Rare mking8288 Posted April 19, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 19, 2015 If all you want are the digitals, i.e. no printed copies,... are they available just on a memory stick or download? Cost? Will be going on the Breakaway 7/19/15 Short answer, AFAIK, is no. The digital download is add-on only and not for sold as standalone. CCL's ship photos are available likewise by prints only, and for optional charge - copyright release for the images & transfer to the digital media, so that extra copies can be printed. Nothing is definitive - you can ask the photo staff onboard & see what they say ... Good luck. sent from my Google Nexus 5/7 MD via Tapatalk

Does anyone know if it still works this way now? We are all in 1 room (family) but if I am the one buying the package it goes by room number correct? Nola26 Posted May 20, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 20, 2016 You just missed a promotion: 50 free photo prints (not copies of the same photo). Keep an eye out to see if it comes back and worth it for your group. We took it along with arcade OBC, Shore excursion credit and family and friends sail free. Keep an eye out to see if it comes back and worth it for your group. We took it along with arcade OBC, Shore excursion credit and family and friends sail free. It's still active through 5/22. Several people have reported combining it with the new promo that started 5/18.
