I have contacted Moby Dick and Native ways for this tour. They both said since my husband and I are not strong swimmers they can't take accept our reservation. Which I understand for the snorkeling part but we don't mind staying on the boat for that. We are really disappointed. Can anyone recommend another tour company or should we just go through the cruiseline?

We went with Nativeway and there were several people that didn't do the reef snorkel. The rays are in 3-4 feet of water. You don't even get your hair wet unless a ray splashes you. I don't know why you couldn't stay on the boat during the snorkel. Rum Point is one of our favorite spots. I wish that someone would start a bus or van route to RP. It could be a money making proposition.

P.S. Love RP's Jerked Chicken!

I contacted native ways twice and asked about being allowed to just stay on the boat during the snorkel time and in both emails they said no and to contact Captain Marvins. So I contacted Captain Marvins and they said we can stay on the boat or use their snorkel vests and they will be happy to teach us to snorkel. We are looking at their beach and seafood lunch tour with stingray city.

I've stayed on the boat while at sting ray city. I do snorkel but they do give you vests.

The crew did some maintenance while at Sting Ray City, maybe that's why??
