Anyone recently in Grand Suite on Freedom

Recommended Posts

If anyone recently stayed in a Grand Suite, I have a few questions. My husband was just told on Monday he is in remission from cancer so has anyone received the escorts on or off the ship while in port without going through the lines. I know this is a large ship and there will be lots people but just trying to avoid having him in tight places with large amounts of passengers. I have seen different answers. Also, does GS get you reserved seating at the shows? I know the new suite perks are supposed to be coming out but we leave in August so not sure they will have hit by then. Thanks everyone. First time Royal Caribbean. Left Carnival after 10 cruises in 4 years. Hopefully, I won't be disappointed.

Just off Freedom Sunday and was in a GS. As the previous poster stated, you'll get reserved seating. Prepare to be severely spoiled on your cruise! Rahul the Concierge is fantastic!

First time cruising since husband's diagnosis so just trying to plan around large crowds if possible which is one reason for getting the grand suite vs. balcony. I have emailed wtih Rahul and he has responded very quickly to my questions and concerns.

What suite were you in and what kind of dining did you have? How was embarkation and disembarkation?

Thanks a lot.

Rahul is more than fantastic, in my honest opinion he is the best in the business. What ever you ask of him you will get it. God bless and have a great cruise!

Our GS was 1560 on deck 10 on Freedom. This was one of our favorite trips, thanks in part to the incredible personal service provided by Rahul, the concierge.

The GS has a wonderful layout, with a great bathroom. We ordered dinner from room service on one of the formal nights, and enjoyed dining on the balcony.

Entertainment is one of our favorite parts of our cruises, and it was so nice to have special seating for the shows. Rahul's daily phone greeting was so cheerful and helpful for planning the day; We have traveled in suites since then on other ships, and no concierge has compared to Rahul.

We always arrive at the port early to take full advantage of the day. We arrive around 10:30 and get on very quickly as suite guests.

Be sure to email Rahul to see if he can escort you, this is not something that I have experienced. Enjoy your cruise and your GS!
