sue d. miller Posted April 5, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2004 Off Limits Teen Center on Star Princess A PARNAMI Cruise Page The teen's facility on Star princess has been relocated from its previous forward position on Grand and Golden Princess, aft, in the space occupied by the virtual reality center on those ships. In the process, the teens have lost their private deck and hot tub, but, have gained an open, airy feeling daytime facility that becomes a genuine night club for them in the evenings, complete with DJ, dance floor, karaoke stage and non-alcoholic bar. Scheduled teen events begin each sea day with the "Breakfast Club", providing new friends the opportunity to bond over breakfast. Continuing through the mornings and afternoons, teens have the opportunity to participate in ship wide scavenger hunts, pop trivia, games of UNO, Crafts, environmental discussions, scattergories, chess/checker tournaments, movies & Trivial Pursuit. On port days, OFF LIMITS offers less structure but is still open for kids seeking something to do. Evening activities begin at 7:00pm and provide teens plenty of opportunities and excuses to mingle with their fellow teens. Early evenings, between 7:00 and 10:00, teens may choose to participate in Crafts, Ping Pong Tournaments, Shuffleboard, Trivia contests & Bingo. Teens also have the opportunity to join in the TEEN DATING GAME, NINTENDO TOURNAMENTS, and TWISTER. 10:00 though, is when things really get going, with the nightly theme party. Themes will include a PIZZA & KAROKE PARTY; GOLF LINKS PARTY where teens use the golf simulator in a contest against their fellow teens; CARIBBEAN ISLAND NIGHT; TEEN FEUD which is claimed to be an explosive game needing energy and loud voices; VIVA LAS VEGAS with blackjack, poker and other casino games, followed by a late night HOT TUB PARTY; and the sad, but inevitable, FAREWELL DISCO. Overall, whereas on the previous ships the teen center was too small and claustrophobic, on Star, they have a facility in which they can settle...and call home, at least for the duration of their cruise. 7 Days on The Star Princess OCTOBER,24,2004 <applet code="countdown.class" CODEBASE="http://*************/java-sys" width="203" height="25"> <param name="font" value="lcdb0"> <param name="year" value=2004> <param name="month" value=10> <param name="day" value=24> <param name="hour" value=05> </applet>

four2travel Posted February 19, 2005 #5 Share Posted February 19, 2005 Sue, As I recall the Grand had an arcade aft. On Princess' site it shows a picture of an arcade on the Star, but your post seems to contradict that as does the deck plan. Kids are wondering if it will be more like the Grand Arcade or the Pay Station Center on the Coral. Thanx for your help. Cheers
