Are baby seats needed in Barcelona?!

Hi everyone,

 

I'll be traveling on Allure of the Seas from Barcelona in October with my 15 month old and wondering do I need to bring a car seat with me for the taxi? We'll be traveling from the airport to the hotel and then the following day, from the hotel to the pier. I know in Ireland it's not required by law but I can't find the relevant info for Spain.

It's a few years now since my children needed them but when we used taxis in Barcelona they had an integral child seat that the driver just flipped out of the regular seat. We had to wait slightly longer at the cruise terminal for one of these taxis to be available. As soon as the drivers saw the child they told us to wait for the right taxi. Another time when taking a taxi from our hotel to the airport the driver took a booster seat from the boot for our daughter to sit on.
