Rare Eglesbrech Posted April 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2015 We are sailing and returning to Rosyth later this year. As we live in Scotland we are fully aware of the new almost zero tolerance limit on alchol for driving. For those coming back into Scottish ports and driving home you need to be fully aware of the 0.5 alchol limit. Be very careful on the last night of the cruise or if hiring a car (especially if you have an all inclusive package) if you plan to drive the next day. It takes very little to hit the drink driving limit. Most other companies sail in and out of English ports where the limit is significantly higher. Just a note of caution. tiggertom Posted April 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2015 80 milligrams for England and Wales and 50 milligrams for Scotland - hardly significantly higher in the course of things. To play it safe never drink and drive and all drivers should take care if they are driving the next day. Have a great cruise. :)
Rare Eglesbrech Posted April 26, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted April 26, 2015 You can argue that it is not a lot but it does make the difference between being legal or not, having a licence or not. Just a reminder of the difference.
1160451 Posted April 27, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2015 Thanks for that information and warning. I didn't know there was difference.
