Price Drop Denied

I requested a price drop for our Catagory 8F balcony ( lido - midship) because the other catagories had all dropped. 8G on Panorama ( more expensive than the 8F on the Lido) dropped but the 8F was not even listed on the booking engine for that date. I guess this means it is sold out. I called Carnival and they confirmed it was denied but couldn't really give me much of a reason.

You have to match your cabin exactly. If there are no category 8F cabins left, there's nothing to price match to. If the 8G's are less expensive, then you should upgrade to that. You will end up with a better room and they might give you some credit.
