Astwood Cove and Beach Trail

I am planning on doing the beach trail that connects WLB and Horseshoe Bay. I know Astwood Cove is further than Warwick Long Beach but how much further is it? If I get off from #7 Bus can I walk from Astwood Cove and connect to the Beach trail? Or will I have to do Astwood cove first, then get back on bus and get off at WLB stop? Thanks!

AFAIk it's not connected to the South Shore Park beach trail. Access is from Astwood Park at the top of the cliff...you have to hike down a steep trail to get to Astwood Cove. You'd have to get back on the bus to get to Warwick Long Bay. In theory you could walk along South Road but I don't recommend it for safety reasons...too much traffic and too little in the way of sidewalks and shoulders.
