DaveNetMan Posted May 6, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2015 (edited) Hiya folks! I have a couple of basic questions on Royal Caribbean. Although my wife and I have cruised 20+ times, our next cruise will be our first time on RCL. One thing we would like to know if we can use our onboard credit ($200) for tips. Also, for the casino. And do they give a cash refund for any unused onboard credit? We know how Carnival does theirs, but like I said it's our first time on RCL. Thanks in advance! DaveNetMan You can use it for anything that is charged on your SeaPass account. That includes your gratuities, as long as you have not pre-paid those as part of My Time Dining, which requires pre-payment. You can take out cash in the casino, for a 5% fee, and that will be charged on your SeaPass account. As long as the OBC is coming from RC, there is no refund of unused OBC. It's use it or lose it. Welcome to Royal Caribbean. :) Edited May 6, 2015 by Merion_Mom

Merion_Mom Posted May 6, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 6, 2015 I was told unused OBC would be returned to our Credit Card on file... Only if the OBC did NOT come from Royal Caribbean. If it comes from Royal Caribbean (most common sources are book-on board OBC and stockholders OBC), no refunds.
Ken at the beach Posted May 6, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 6, 2015 If you set your Seapass account up as a cash account then there is no charge to withdraw cash from the casino.
