I see a lot of excursions listed that include water activities on the island. Is there a "free" beach or similar area available in case one just wants to be lazy on the beach.

Also, I remember reading somewhere about lunch on the island, but can't find the thread or post. I seem to remember the comments about the lunch were very good. Is this an included lunch and how is it set up? Buffet or what.

The whole island is a free beach. You pick a spot on the beach and set up base.

 

The BBQ lunch on the beach is included. The food are brought over from the ship and cooked on the beach.

Yes to both. There is a free beach and a free lunch.

Lunch is provided for free. Its a buffet.

 

The beach is free. the chairs are free

First come first serve.

Yes. There are only a few small areas that aren't free. My personal favorite is Barefoot Beach. It's a little bit of a walk, and away from the buffet area. The main beach area is close to many bars and the buffet.

 

It's my favorite stop. Enjoy!

You can walk the whole island, it is not very big. The snorkeling is great too. It is one of my favorite stops. If you want privacy, keep walking to the right, you will find some quite areas.

you also use your seapass card to purchase drinks. Lemonade and I believe fruit punch is served with lunch.
